What if aliens were not hostile but their interest in human beings was one of scientific research? What if these aliens had a purpose for studying human beings and then return them later to their own planet? These are the questions that keep you glued to the movie’s edge and you could describe it as “the film that is worth watching twice”. Aliens begins with a scene where a man is up late at night wondering out loud what is it that makes him “tick”. The movie takes you to the depths of humanity’s quest for knowledge and space exploration.

Plot
The plot of Aliens is that the spaceship “Nostromo” (A modified cargo ship) is investigating a distress signal from an unknown planet.
It is in the year 2122 and mankind has spread out into space. The Nostromo, along with other ships from Earth’s federation, have been sent to investigate why a planet on the far side of the galaxy was sending signals to another nearby planet as well as how long they had been doing it for.
On this mission, Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), a former Marine who served aboard “Nostromo”, becomes trapped alone with her crew on board while trying to discover what happened to them all after landing on this new world.
As she tries to find out more about what happened and how she can help rescue everyone else alive, she discovers that there are alien beings living on this planet. These aliens are called Xenomorphs or Space Jockeys because they look like humans but act like insects and make their nest inside human bodies or sometimes even live inside you without killing you first!
These aliens attack the ship by entering through air vents which causes most of the crew members deaths except for Ripley who escapes via shuttle but unfortunately dies when her face gets torn off by an Alien Queen Alien! After dying she wakes up in hellish conditions where she finds herself back at sea surrounded by different species of Alien life forms who try to kill her again!
The Climax of the Movie
The climax of Aliens is when the Sulaco lands on LV-426. The marines are supposed to be looking for a specific chemical compound which is vital for their survival and they have been in LV-426 for over two months. After discovering that the Alien hive has been destroyed, the survivors decide to set up camp and search for any signs of life or any survivors but they find nothing except some human bones.
Then, Ripley comes across a box that contains “the egg”. She touches it and she gets impregnated by an alien embryo which then transforms her into an alien herself. When we watch this scene, we realize that the aliens don’t want humans to survive so they need to take care of their own kind first before letting them survive alone.
The Story Behind the Movie
The movie Aliens was a surprise hit for the producers, as it was not released until 1986. It became an instant success and remained popular in both Europe and America for several years.
It is based on two stories:
Alien, which was written by Dan O’Bannon in 1978 and the script for Alien II, which was written by Ronald Shusett in 1979. The film Alien’s budget was around $3 million (USD), while the second one cost $6 million. Both films were very well received by critics, although they did not earn back their production costs.
After the first one grossed over $100 million at the box office worldwide, Fox approached director Ridley Scott to direct a sequel with a budget of about $18 million. After being rejected twice by other studios before being accepted by Fox, he spent three months writing the script himself before hiring James Cameron to rewrite it again after seeing his original treatment that he wrote with David Giler and Walter Hill in 1979. The film Aliens (1986) had a total budget of just under $50 million USD, making it one of the most expensive movies ever made at that time.

Audience Analysis
The analysis of the audience’s response to a movie is not an easy task. It requires detailed research and the right knowledge on how to do it. The most important aspect in this case is understanding the meaning of words like “entertainment” or “disappointment”.
Alien (1986) was directed by Ridley Scott, produced by Walter Hill and starred Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton and John Hurt. This sci-fi horror thriller follows Ellen Ripley as she tries to escape from her captors after her spaceship crashes on a mysterious planet full of deadly aliens.
Critic’s Analysis
I have to say that this is one of the best sci-fi movies of all time. It was directed by James Cameron and it stars Sigourney Weaver, Carrie Henn, Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton and Lance Henriksen. This movie was a big hit at the box office and had great critical reviews.
Conclusion
In conclusion I would say that this is a great sci-fi movie which has given me plenty of goosebumps when I watched it! The only negative point about this movie is its low budget since they didn’t use any CGI effects instead they used real life models for all the characters in the film. This means that they couldn’t make them look as good as if they were using CGI but I think what you get out of watching it outweighs any flaws like this so don’t let it put you off too much!
