Finding Nemo Storyline

Long time ago in the South Pacific Ocean, a clownfish named Nemo and his father, Marlin go out fishing in the blue sea to catch food for their family. On one fateful day, a dangerous bloom of jellyfish sting Nemo so bad that he is rendered comatose. In desperation for saving his son from dying once again, Marlin decides to try swimming all over the ocean until he manages to find him safe shore before it’s too late.

Ever since then involves search through long difficult journey worldwide along with his father Dory and mother Coral have been separated from their family during a fish net accident. They were then brought to Marlin’s Reef Underwater Parking Lot by Marine Life Institute who are trying to make money out of them. A blue tang known as Bruce the shark tries to catch both parents but misses one tiny little that is unknown at hand until three weeks later, when he ends up finding another fish that looks exactly like Nemo, but actually is his long-lost son.

Main Story

Thereafter a robot (a Maghemite) alerts Marlin and Dory to the boy’s whereabouts, leading them on some thrilling rescue missions of getting him back into their care again as they both were going for gold during these years without him. The two parents got separated because one of them was too lazy to swim with her son, but both have learned their lesson now and will not fail to save Nemo again.

The story is affected by whimsical humor similar to the Pixar films Toy Story and Finding Nemo along with an emotional under-current in minimalistic scenes of Marlin trying to find a way out from captivity alongside his unfortunate attempt at making money off these fish before they are finally freed back into the water where they all meet once more as one family.

Finding Nemo’s Metacritic rating stands at 71 out of 100. Audiences have widely regarded it as Pixar’s best film since Toy Story 2, and its worldwide gross was estimated to be $875 million by mid-August. The international appeal of Finding Nemo also helped turn around Disney-owned Miramax Films which had been financially troubled after being affected by box office failures such as Erin Brockovich (2000) and The End of the World.

Most Interesting part

The film won awards including Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay, Best Sound Editing, and Best Music; it also earned three Golden Globe nominations in 2000. Critics have praised Finding Nemo for its plot development concept which encourages children to develop emotions within themselves instead of relating that emotion only to those with similar traits or beliefs like characters do in most animated films because they are assumed to ‘not be our own kind’.

Finding Nemo didn’t receive much awards for its story proper, but it had perfect reviews according to critics: “Nemo has now laid the character-creation foundation on which virtually every animated film of quality’ will draw from.” In fact, most reviewers in particular gave backhanded compliments about Pixar or Disney’s production process;

they say that these companies are too involved within their creative processes and don’t take it easy. Few consider this season’s animated features as better simply because the characters are more complex, than to admit that Finding Nemo has an amazing story line and Pixar (and Disney) is but a masterpiece company of animation.
