A few weeks ago, I went to see the Lego Movie. It was great. And if you are unfamiliar with the franchise, it is a movie about the construction toy system that had a series of movies based on Lego that started in 1999 and continued until 2009. The LEGO Movie is the latest installment in this franchise. It took the concept of the first three movies and turned it into a funny and action-packed story that had people talking for days afterwards.

The Lego Movie is a 2014 American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by the Lego Group and directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. It is based on the toy company’s toys, but it is not directly tied to the franchise. The film was released in the United States on February 7, 2014.

Time Setting And Time Period

Most people would automatically assume that the story takes place during a specific time period, but I will say it makes sense none the less because this movie is based around BrickHeadz and Pirate Ship sets. They also have many technical details directly associated with everything they are doing while watching or interacting in this world.

My favorite parts of The Lego Movie were when there was nothing happening on screen yet we could see little scenes from what had just happened 1-2 minutes ago. This allowed the audience to get a better understanding of what was going on, and it also teased future events that we could look forward to in the movie.

I absolutely loved all of the characters in this movie! They were unique, funny, and enjoyable to watch interact with each other. I also thought that the plot was very interesting and well executed. There were some great moments where everything came together perfectly, and I found myself laughing out loud numerous times.

The only thing I could say that I didn’t like about The Lego Movie was that it felt slightly rushed in some areas. There were moments where important details were glossed over or skipped altogether, which caused me to feel a bit unsatisfied overall. However, this is definitely the weakest aspect of an otherwise great movie experience!

The Lego Movie opens on June 24, 2014 and is rated 8.1 by audiences polled by imdb, making it the third most popular movie to date. Its budget was only $60 million which made its box-office ranking one of the costliest movies ever produced with a budget under $100 million in Hollywood’s history.

Cast And Crew Of The Lego Movie

The Lego Movie is written by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, with J. A. Bayona one of the directors; Will Arnett, who played Batman in both DC’s The LEGO Movie and “Arrow”, voices characters Emmet (the main character) and his British sidekick Wyldstyle; Elizabeth Banks portrays Lucy as well as many other roles throughout the film (for example: spaceships resembling Princess Leia from Star Wars).

Jonah Hill plays the main character, who has a dual personality; Will Ferrell voices Batman’s sidekick Robin and two other characters as well as spoofs of his own theatrical role by doing countless lines from Little Rascals. Channing Tatum voices Yodo for an important plot point.

This is Channing’s final performance as a child character, but he does return to voice the role of Superman’s sidekick on several occasions throughout The Lego Movie; other prominent voice actors include Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman providing dialogues constantly nearby Will Ferrell’s jokes through crazy laughter or short comedic changes in tone which can go from gruffly proper to extremely humorous within just a few seconds.

Morgan’s character knows that the world is a toy and imagines other colorful characters from The Big Bang Theory, Arrested Development (Tobias Fünke), Family Guy(Seth MacFarlane) and Futurama (Al Gore). Stephen Merchant voices almost all of Lord Business’ henchmen whom have names like Oil Dude or Situation Officer Hans but has his voice changed to sound bitter slightly similar

to the voice actor who played George Liquor in Team America: World Police.

Benny (Kevin Hart) is voiced by Chris McKay and he’s a construction worker turned criminal mastermind as well as a love interest for Wyldstyle, which was hinted at during the first film. Jonah Hill stated that his favorite character to play on set was Benny.

Emmet is an ordinary Lego minifigure until he finds the piece of legislation hidden inside one

of the giant Lego blocks. He then unwittingly becomes The Truth, a superhero who is opposed by Lord Business and his team of villains including Skeletor, Lady Deathstrike and Psycho Pirate.

Storyline Of The Lego Movie

The movie begins with the scene of an older Bruce Wayne (Will Arnett) watching a news broadcast on his virtual reality goggles showing Lord Business’s threatening words upon announcing that he was hosting public interaction between Legos and Ninjago in addition to it being two days before Christmas.

With these problems, Batman decides to use himself as Robin and goes after him, but is stopped by The Lego Ambulance Truck Guy who took care of his wounds. Batman then meets Wyldstyle who tells him that she is from the future and has to stop Lord Business.

Back in the present, Emmet finds out about this and decides to become The Truth in order to stop them. When he arrives on set of the toy commercial, he battles Skeletor but Lady Deathstrike captures him before he can do anything else. Batman then shows up and saves Emmet, revealing himself as Wayne before taking him to jail.

The next day, Emmet escapes and meets up with Wyldstyle, Batman, and Lloyd who helped him out before they head towards Lord Business’ stronghold. Upon arriving there, they find that he has been using the toys to take over the world as Project M Surprise Party . They then team up with The LEGO Movie characters (such as Benny from Team America: World Police) in order to stop him. In

the end, they are successful and everything is back to normal.

The movie’s plot and storyline is a mash up of several other properties, primarily Lego video games. The idea for the film originated from Warner Bros. Pictures President Toby Emmerich who pitched his concept with Chris McKay during an impromptu flight to Kauai in 2011 where he had been vacationing since graduating college at Berkeley just two years earlier.

McKay was immediately inspired by the idea and recognized that an animated “LEGO” movie could exist on its own while also tipping some of his favorite tropes and building blocks of pop culture into a cohesive script. After Emmerich’s success with The Lego Movie, McKay got to work alongside collaborators Jonathan Aibel and Kristen Berger, who began creating the initial story bible for what would become “The LEGO Batman Movie.”

This process involved them pouring over decades of Batman lore and the reactions they would get when certain themes were brought up. For example, “The Penguin”, elements from 1960s cartoon show “Batman” such as puns in The Joker’s name or an obsession with a night-life activity (the reveal of the character is similar to that depicted in 1967 film) turned out not be part of Brad Bird’s 2004 film but rather his own comics contributing to the idea of a ‘legacy character.’

“The LEGO Movie”, being big enough to include scenes set in Denmark and an appearance by superstar The Rock (Dwayne Johnson), has a huge marketing budget behind it to ensure its widest theatrical release possible when it opens on February 7th 2015 Universal Pictures presents “The LEGO Movie”. Your local cinema is no doubt already SOLD OUT!

The film’s achievement was confirmed with a nomination for Outstanding British Film of 2014.

The film’s score is being devised & produced by Alexandre Desplat (‘Harry Potter’ series), whose distinctively soaring composition perfectly complements that of Channing Tatum’s Mr. McGuffin voice characterisation as an action hero adorned in studded, sequined body armour who’s singing about Lego blocks in the shower.

FAQ

Who Is The Most Underrated Character In The Lego Movie?

Tell us why! Arthur, voiced by Liam Neeson and Master Builder Emmet who tells everybody about joy. He might be considered as a villain but he was loved by Alden Ehrenreich because of his heart to do world peace. Arthur is part of a group called the Master Builders and united by love to stop Lord Business’s forces.

Is Lego Movie A Good Movie?

No, I don’t believe it’s a good movie. Yes. It is the Lego Movie where an average citizen takes things into his own hands and saves himself from evil forces by thinking outside of the box to survive with nothing but bricks as weapons (in real life). The villain- Lord Business/Bad Cop in this case isn’t bad at all especially when you compare him to other villains we see on screen everyday such as Darth Vader or Lucius Malfoy Malfoy.

Why Is The Lego Movie Video Game So Broken?

Firstly, the game is so broken because you have to literally buy each and every character. You start with Rex as your main character but if you want him later on in the game he will cost a whopping $10 million dollars.
