In the Back to the Future series, Marty McFly travels to the year 2015. He meets his son in a time-traveling DeLorean and is handed a ‘flux capacitor’ at Biff Tannen’s junkyard, which he uses to return to October 28th, 1955.

He manages to ‘create’ himself an earlier self, including his parents and younger self, in the form of photographs by putting his parents and younger self in his own photographs. As he milled around in these photographs, he also discovered that they were trapped in a museum which lead him to visit this museum and get the plans from Doc Brown.
