Batan Island is an unincorporated island located in the Batanes Strait, southeast of the main Philippine island of Luzon. Administratively, it belongs to the municipality of San Fernando in Northern Samar. Batan Island is administered as a protected area under the jurisdiction of the DENR. Batan Island is home to a number of endemic and rare bird species, including the critically endangered Philippine eagle.
