All About Of Cameron Island

Cameron Island

History

History

In prehistoric times, inhabitants of the Pacific Northwest that lived along this island were nearly extinct as they had been displaced by climate change. It was then that a mysterious stranger named Pascal Baudry and his wife arrived on Cameron Island some time ago.

The adventure surrounding their arrival to the islands is still shrouded in mystery today but it’s assumed he had been out hunting seals before seeing his life ended there with bullet wounds after being pursued down by Native Americans supposedly on the Alaskan side of the border.

His wife with him was left alive, taken in by another tribe or perhaps a stray from their original destination who wanted to save the woman’s life.

She built her own home on an outcrop far away from most inhabitants and became known as Lady Cameron for obvious reasons since it wasn’t long after that she passed away due to illness brought about by sea-sickness but it is said that before that she had become another “Lady of the Island” and lived in a location marked out by stones.

This place where Lady Cameron made her home was later to be thought of as the burial place for her herself along with Baudry, whose body didn’t surface at sea although bones or parts thereof were uncovered in June 2015 it is possible that they could belong to members of his family given that neither has been found since around 1700.
