Movie Meaning

While Fantastic Beasts is its movie, it’s also the third installment in a series of films that started with Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone. To fully appreciate what goes on in this new film, you need to first understand some old Harry Potter lore. Suppose you’ve never read or watched any Harry Potter books or films.

Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) is a magizoologist, an expert on magical creatures. When he’s invited to New York City by his American acquaintance Percival Graves (Colin Farrell), Newt finds himself in the middle of a mystery. Some unknown creature has killed two people and injured several more.

To find out what’s going on, Newt takes off for Manhattan with his friend Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler) and his mentor, No-Maje Porpentina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston). They quickly realize that the creature is a monster of some sort, which seems to have ties to magic. Newt’s suitcase isn’t packing magical creatures, only mundane ones.

Worse yet, he can’t seem to get any closer to solving the mystery! Firstly, there’s a lot of action. When Newt and his group venture into the dangerous magical territory, they have to fight for their lives. Secondly, this is not your average film series: Rowling has chosen to tell her story through flashbacks (to Newt’s memories) and mysterious objects D’Art (or “Odder Things”).

This allows the viewer to get an intimate look at Newt’s character and learn more about the magical world he inhabits.

Thirdly, Rowling has written a suspenseful story with many twists and turns. So whatever you’re expecting from Beasts Of No Nation – expect it to be anything but average! I have not watched or read the Harry Potter series, nor do I intend to.

However, based on what I see in the previews for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them and from reading some of the positive reviews, it seems that this movie would make a great addition to any fan’s library.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (Storyline And Short Review)

David Heyman, who previously worked on the Harry Potter series with Rowling and was producing Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them along with David Barron, revealed in October 2007 that Rowling had written a screenplay. In March 2010, it was announced that Redmayne would play Scamander.

Waterston joined the cast later in 2010 as Goldstein. Kowalski and Fogler were cast in August 2011, and Farrell, Morton, and Depp were cast in October 2011. Miller was cast in February 2012, with the rest of the ensemble completed by April 2013.

The movie was shot in London and Budapest from March to November 2013. Reception

Beasts of No Nation has collectively received positive reviews from movie critics. Rotten Tomatoes gives the film a 78% approval rating, based on 194 reviews with an average score of 7/10.

The site’s consensus reads: “An exciting and well-acted spectacle, Beasts of No Nation deserves to be seen on the big screen.” Metacritic assigned the film a weighted average score of 78 out of 100, based on 43 reviews from mainstream critics, indicating “generally favorable reviews.”

Beasts of No Nation was filmed in London and Budapest from March to November 2013. Movies like Beasts of No Nation need a lot of actors to make it come together. Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, and Dan Fogler are all in the movie, but they don’t do much. It’s very difficult to keep an audience’s attention when every actor isn’t giving their best performance.

Newt Scamander is easily one of the most interesting characters in this film, and he doesn’t even get a whole scene to himself. This is why it’s so important that the cast is amazing and everyone can carry their weight. Kudos to the cast for their hard work, but they could have done better. Beasts of No Nation is a beautiful movie, but there’s nothing else exciting or memorable about it.

Ending Explanation

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them climax The epilogue of the movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them takes place after Harry Potter’s defeat of Voldemort.

Newt Scamander has been Albus Dumbledore’s (Jude Law) secret agent for over a decade, and he escorts Grindelwald back to Britain without anyone knowing. When they reach Diagon Alley, they find that all the magical creatures have disappeared.

Newt can send an owl a letter to Harry and Ron Weasley (Hermione Granger) telling them where they can find the animals. Beasts of No Nation’s ending is much more spoiler than Fantastic Beasts, and Where to Find Them, so I’ll just say that it’s satisfying.

Overall, Beasts of No Nation is an interesting movie that can be difficult to follow. The visuals are amazing, and the cast does a great job, but it’s not the best film out there.

For Beasts of No Nation, team VFX Studio created over 2,500 shots with a mix of digital and practical effects. The film’s visual effects are nominated for the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects at the 89th Academy Awards.

Eddie Redmayne and Ezra Miller are the only two actors in this film nominated for an Oscar. Beasts of No Nation is a visually stunning film that’s difficult to follow. The cast does an amazing job, but it’s not the best movie out there.
