History
Neptune Islands is the brainchild of two creative minds, Jesse Schell and Patrick Fortier. The game was first conceived in 2007 while Schell was a student at Carnegie Mellon University.
While at CMU, Schell began developing what would later become known as Neptune Islands with Fortier as his partner-in-crime.
After graduating from college, the two successfully Kickstarted their project and released Neptune Islands on PC in 2011 . This was followed by iOS and Android versions in 2012.
Then, in 2013 PC player to play Neptune Islands! Originally available for Mac OS X 10.8 or higher Fahrenheit is the next logical step with its ground-up support of OpenGL ES 3 (as opposed to DirectX 9) on Windows & Linux platforms which allows the use of a huge vaster range of graphics cards from Nvidia, AMD and Intel directly through aptitudes.
