What Is The Message Of Schindler’s List?

The main message I got from this film was to not let others define who you are. I think Oskar Schindler thought that if he did bad things for good people there would be no war when it came down to true circumstances but in fact the Jews were still suffering and needed help even more since they had experienced such a horrible time during WWII. He lied because he worried everyone wouldn’t believe him.

Spielberg’s background as an unused director made him sympathetic to the Holocaust and its use of forced labor camps during World War II to consolidate power across Europe. A short phrase from the 1984 war film The Killing Fields reads “Why did they kill him?” which means, while it is trivial that a photographer was killed in Africa during a conflict zone between rival groups, there are so many people and such big questions when something like this can occur. This quote holds true especially with Schindler’s List 1993 added on to making the results even more hopeful because of how relevant today’s issues remain as tragic past events.
